About

I am a Master's student in Quantum Engineering at ETH Zurich, passionate about solid-state quantum computing hardware, aiming to advance quantum coherence, qubit control, and error correction techniques.

Giovanni Zhang

Quantum Engineering Master's Student

I am particularly interested in the development of next-generation solid-state quantum processors, with experience in both superconducting and silicon-based quantum devices.

  • Birth Date: August 7, 2001
  • Hometown: Padua, Italy
  • Current Institution: ETH Zurich
  • Degree: Master's in Quantum Engineering

I have gained hands-on research experience with superconducting qubits in Andreas Wallraff’s group, where I investigated TLS mitigation techniques to enhance qubit coherence times. Additionally, I worked with silicon-based quantum devices in Dominik Zumbühl’s group, focusing on Intel's Tunnel Falls chip. In 2025, I will join Quantum Motion for a six-month research position to further explore this architecture.
